We have another new face at the reserve! Say hello to Zoe the mongoose lemur! Zoe is three years old and arrived from the Philadelphia Zoo in May 2022 on a recommendation from the AZA mongoose lemur Species Survival Plan (SSP).
Zoe is highly inquisitive, loves new enrichment and changes to her enclosure, and is easily identifiable by the notch in the pinna of her left ear. Shortly after her arrival she was introduced to her new partner Mateo. The pair’s introduction went smoothly and they are now inseparable. They will soon be introduced to one of our free-range forest habitats, where Mateo has previously lived.
